I’m a big fan of a site that’s called Beagles on the Web. For three years, I’ve been following the antics of Clayton, Scooter, Spencer, and Sherman. 

My morning routine is usually to check email, read the newspaper and check to view the latest beagle adventure. Now, I really don’t need to do this because I have my very own beagle who was named after the blacklisted screenwriter and novelist Dalton Trumbo.

Our beagle answers to Trumbo (although my husband calls him “DT”) and he is always up to something, whether it’s trying to wrestle our Lab, Lola, or harass our Jack Russell terrier, Alvah. When he’s not in his sister’s and brother’s face, he’s sniffing out game and following a scent.  We’ve learned the hard way that Trumbo can’t be let off the leash because once he catches a scent it’s “See ya in New Jersey!”
